Davis City Hall Green Infrastructure Concept Plan
Davis, CA
In 2016, Urban Rain Design and Quadriga provided the City of Davis extensive pro-bono design services for a concept plan to retrofit the Davis City Hall campus with street, parking lot, and building green infrastructure stormwater management. Kevin Robert Perry created a site plan that was submitted for California Prop 1 Stormwater Implementation funding and was awarded a grant in 2017. The project consists of retrofitting an existing portion of the parking lots vehicular stalls with pervious paving and stormwater planters. A series of perimeter rain gardens captures roof runoff and vegetated swales and rain gardens capture and treat runoff from two city streets. Along with developing the site plan, Urban Rain Design provided stormwater quantity takeoffs as well as cost estimates for the purposes of the grant application.
