In 2017, Urban Rain Design was invited by the Davis East Manor Neighborhood to explore the potential for green infrastructure within the community’s streets and neighboring open space.   Kevin Robert Perry provided pro-bono services to develop a toolbox of green street and complete street design options, created an overall master plan to retrofit the neighborhood with green infrastructure and “road diet” options, attended multiple open house events with committee members and the general public, and provided detailed drawings and cross sections to the multiple street types found within the neighborhood.  Urban Rain Design was further asked to work with the City of Davis to develop a detailed design concept proposal, create illustrative exhibits, cost estimates, and provide writing assistance in applying for grant funding for the project.
